An annual event and great fun for both Dads and Cubs. This year it will be held at Gradbach Scout Camp, rather than Barnswood (as originally stated). A map and directions can be downloaded from the documents section of our website. The camp will run from 7.30pm on Friday until approximately 3.00pm on Sunday. Once the camp has finished we would ask parents to come to the HQ and help put the equipment away.
It is a requirement that ALL Cubs attending a camp bring a completed and signed copy of the permission to camp form with them as any Cub who does not have a form cannot attend the camp. We would also request that all adults complete the adult health form and also bring this to camp. Although this is not a mandatory requirement, we would prefer to have this information, just in case it is required. Both forms can be downloaded from the documents section of this website.
As usual, we provide all the general equipment needed for the Cubs to camp (other than personal kit) but suggest that Dads may wish to bring their own tent and folding chair. If Dads do not have a tent of their own we have a number of tents which Dads may borrow, but please let us know before 7.00pm on Thursday 8th … otherwise you may end up sharing!
Finally, here you can download a copy of the suggested kit list for the weekend. It can be helpful if Cubs help pack their own bags so that they are able to find things once they get to camp.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Baghera on 07929 264 148 any evening (after 7.00pm) and leave a message.
We have added a new section to the site where copies of letters and other important documents which are handed out on pack nights can be viewed, downloaded and printed using the latest version of Adobe Reader
On Saturday 8th May we are holding a Frog Race evening for all the family, so get off the sofa and come and join in the fun! There’s lots to do and a chance to win prizes, there’s a bar, hot dogs (not frogs!) and a fantastic fun evening!
Paddock opens 7.30pm, First Race 8pm
Entry by race card – £2.00 per person or £6.00 family card (2 adults, up to 3 children)
St George’s Day is one of the two big scouting events of the year. Thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who attended in full uniform to renew their Scout Promises.
Scouts from all across the High Peak paraded through Spring Gardens and onto Buxton Opera House for a short service.
This is an annual event and great fun for both Dads and Cubs.
Dads/Male Guardians who wish to attend this camp will need to be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.
Could Dads and Cubs who are interested in attending please collect a slip from one of the leaders ASAP, So that we can provide you with a CRB form to complete, as these take time to be returned to us by the bureau.
Please note that if you have have a CRB check from anywhere else, you will still need to have one completed through us, The Scout Association.
